This deck is essential for this approach because it contains the ComponentsSearch. I’ve included the character to keyword cards, because I know some people like to use them. I have created a new card which hanzu from Pinyin back to Hanzi, keyword,and ComponentsSearch and attacking it again.

Heisig recommends that you only review from keyword to character, not from character to keyword. Students are taught to employ ‘imaginative memory’ to associate each character’s component parts, or ‘primitive elements’, with one another and with a key word that has been carefully selected to represent an important meaning of the character. I guess I’ll just share some corrections for pronunciation: As I write this Julythe site appears to be down. Guidance and detailed instructions are provided along the way. Second, I knew the key words but not the Pinyin.
Since a single simplified character can occasionally map to multiple traditional characters, I can’t guarantee that all of the traditional characters are the correct ones for the keyword used for the simplified character. First, even after more than a thousand characters, there were many common words I still didn’t know. This is my first time trying to import with Anki, and I’m completely baffled. Also, be boo, that I used Google Translate to get the list of traditional characters. Vitaly Osipov marked it as to-read Jan 15, He did this by dissecting the characters into smaller pieces, which were either themselves characters, or, just smaller pieces without a separate meaning, but repeating in other characters.
When this deck is imported into the desktop program, cards will appear as the deck author has made them. The maximum number of sub-components that you would possibly need to learn for a Heisig character is I’m able to knock out Hanzi in less than 6 weeks with only hours of studying. We got the Book 2 spreadsheet done pretty fast.

Some notes on using the deck: I think I’m going to email author regarding these issues and see if I can offer any help. Of critical importance to the approach adopted here is the systematic arranging of characters in an order best suited to memorization.
Some hints for learning new characters: I haven’t tested or extensively used the deck at this time, but I’ve already found and corrected several errors.
